For the most part no. Since in street ball you dont play defense and you play a wreckless style of offense. You need more weapons then just being able to dunk. The only people from street ballers who can really succeed are guys who know how to handle the ball. There is a reason why there are only a few in the NBA. Rafer Alston was fortunate he was also a good passer and ball handler that he was able to be sucessful in the NBA.

No, if you pay close attention they either travel or palming. No defense and you really never see them take any perimeter shots. I know AND 1 and the NBA are both technically entertainment, but the NBA plays for championships, AND 1 is just for street entertainment.

Well from what i understood, it's 2 dunks per jump.
What you do is this:
- Go for a dunk (press B while pushing the left analog stick towards the basket)
- DONT LET GO OF B, then you should see a 'bar-like' thingy on top of the screen.
- Let the moving colored bar reach the end, then let go.
This may be a bit hard at first, but through practice you'll get it, and its so fun 'cause they're gonna do weird dunks(such as walking on the backboard, doing backflips for the 2nd dunk, etc)

One reason is foreign players have played professionally for several years before entering the NBA draft. Some players start really early, signing a contract at age 15 or something. The NBA team gets someone who's been trained professionally for several years. While an American player has played against inferior high school andcollegeplayers before the draft... It could be a little harder to gauge his talent against worse opponents.
Another big reason is money... If a team has a draft choice but no room on the roster for the draftee, it can draft a foreign player. As long as the team offers a cheapo contract each season, the team maintains the rights of the foreign player. If the foreign player isn't ready for the NBA yet or is under contract by a foreign team, then the NBA team can leave him overseas until he's ready to join the NBA.
If the player's great and ready, then the NBA team offers a better contract to get him to move to the USA. If the player stinks, the team releases his rights (or trades him to another NBA team). It's much better than drafting an American player, offering him a non-guaranteed contract, and then he can't make the team. The team loses all rights to the player when they waive him.

The game has gotten worldwide in scope. The good old USA doesn't dominate on the hardwood anymore, and the NBA has noticed. Foreign players are steeped in the fundamentals, and in team play concepts. Given similar physical gifts and talents, I would look at that background as a positive.

If the street ballers want to join then join. Even if they dont make the cut right away, the scouts would send them to the NBDL, the NBA's developmental league, and they could move up from there.

B/W NBA Live and NBA 2K5, Live is better. It has the slam dunk competition and it's more fun. If you want a more realistic game, keep ESPN NBA 2K5. If you can get NBA Street V3, get it. It's fun but the career mode is kinda short. At least it was 4 me b/c i beat it in like a weekend.

You have to go on Xbox Live Marketplace. It's an add on to the game, like the Halo Heroic Map Pack. You also get Jordan sneakers and outfits. I think you have to use Microsoft Points. I don't think it's free.

The movie theater is northeast of Mary Jane's apartment in SoHo (the house icon with the letters "MJ" on it).
Fight Arena
After Doc Ock is defeated and the credits finish rolling, Chapter 16 will start and the Fight Arena can now be bought at the Upgrade Store. The Fight Arena upgrade costs 5,000 Hero Points. After you purchase it, swing over to the Shocker Warehouse near the Lower East Side. Enter the warehouse through the large bay doors. Go to the main room where the first battle with Shocker took place. Access the marker to start the fight. At first, only "Timed Rounds" is available, but playing it to Round 3 unlocks the Endurance Rounds option. Completing Round 3 unlocks the Boss Rounds option. The Boss Rounds includes the various villains from the game with thugs
Spider-Missile Upgrade
Collect all 130 Buoy Tokens to get the Spider-Missile Upgrade.
Swing Speed 8 Level Upgrade
Successfully complete Chapter 16 and Chapter 17 to unlock the Swing Speed Level 8 Upgrade at the Upgrade Store. The Swing Speed Level 8 Upgrade costs 50,000 Hero Points. Using it earns the Speed Freak award.
Wallsprint Level 2 Upgrade
Get all 150 Skyscraper Tokens to get the Wallsprint Level 2 Upgrade.
Arcade mini-games
There are four mini-games at the Arcade: Dodge Hall, Directional Attack, Web Attack, Air Combo. Enter the Arcade, then go to the back of the room. Press Square to activate the marker to start the Dodge Hall mini-game. Complete round 3 to unlock the Directional Attack mini-game (which is more of a tutorial). In the Directional Attack mini-game, follow it as instructed to unlock the Web Attack mini-game. This is also basically just a tutorial. In the Web Attack mini-game, follow it as instructed to unlock the Air Combo mini-game.
Reaching the arcade
Go to Han's Pizzeria (the pizza icon on the map). Stand facing the front door and the neon sign (so that you see Spider-Man's back). Turn to your left and go down the street past the blue star icon for Race 95 and continue pst the first intersection. Go to the second intersection at the end of the grassy area (across the street is the blue star icon for Race 96). Stay on the side with the grassy area, and turn left. Go down the sidewalk with the grassy area on your left until you reach the T-shaped intersection. Cross the street and continue going straight, past the white/gray awnings. On your left side is an alley. In that alley is a storefront with green-trimmed windows. Go into this alley and you will reach the entrance to the Arcade. Above the Arcade door is a sign depicting an old Atari-style controller. Note: The Arcade is a location used at the very beginning of the game during the tutorial narrated by Bruce Campbell.
Getting upgrades
When you are in need of more moves, fly around the city and look for buildings with a web-like top on them. Sometimes the buildings will be very small and are white, which may make the web almost invisible. There are also different color webs, which will make the web more visible on your map in the lower right side of the screen. Inside of one of those stores, you will see a gold spinning decal which you should "open up". This will bring you to the upgrade screen, where you can spend your Hero Points to get other attacks and much more.
Easier Completion of timed missions
Purchase the level 8 upgrade to your Swing Speed (after completing Chapter 16) before doing the Pizza Deliveries, Mary Jane, and Daily Bugle Photo missions. The first few missions are easy, but they will get progressively more difficult as you will have to go farther with less time available. Having your Swing Speed fully upgraded to level 8 will make them easier, although the final missions will still be a challenge.
Easy Skyscraper Tokens
Go to the map of the city and look very closely at the buildings. You will see little gold dots on top of the buildings. They represent the token locations
Easy Hideout Tokens
On your map in the lower right hand corner, locate all the buildings with a pink top. This is where you can enter and get your goodies. Some are a little difficult to find -- be alert.
Easy Hero Points
In the street crime mission where you must fight off thugs stealing money from the armored van, untie the officers that are kneeling next to the van by using Action. You will earn an additional 50 Hero Points for each officer you untie. However, make sure you untie them before you get too far away and the game removes their presence.
Fill Style meter faster
Using the "Spider Reflexes" ability drains your Style meter (the blue bar). You can refill the Style meter by performing the Air Tricks combos, but they will only add a little bit to the blue bar each time. To fill the Style meter faster, avoid hitting buildings while you are swinging around and doing the Air Tricks. The more Air Tricks you string together without bumping into buildings, the faster your meter will be refilled. When you bump into a building while swinging, it stops the Style meter from being refilled and you have to start another string of Air Tricks. If you are going too fast and cannot avoid slamming into a building, try going into a Wall Sprint just as you make contact with the wall, then leap off the wall into a swing. If done correctly, you will not break your Air Tricks combo.

First get a young energetic back-up for Shaq, play the backup early and often, make sure he can run and defend. This year the Heat looked tired and the offence was stale. It has been a long time since Shaq could be counted on, not his fault the years have taken their toll. I say when Shaq is in the game the ball should go into the post. Get Shaq maximum shots in minimum minutes or let him rest a little keeping him on the weak-side in position for offensive rebounds. Try to keep him fresh never play him when he is fatigued. Do what is needed to get personel who can run and defend when Shaq is out. Must be able to adjust tempo according to opponent and situation, they had big problems last year with that, most of those vets looked like old dogs who couldent learn new tricks. Generally go younger. I think Wade needs to take more jumpers to give himself a chance to get hot from the outside, he has a great stroke and can shoot over anybody(he will last longer and have more in the tank come playoff time), Haslem and Shaq can hit the O-boards. Time to quit thinking about building around Shaq, get help for Wade, players who can keep up.

Stay Healthy Stay Strong Shaq and Zo aren't old, they can Help Dwayne Wade to win another title.

Primarily, they need to stay healthy. Yahoo! Sports just reported they lost Jason Kapono to Toronto, but James Posey and Daequan Cook should be able to replace his one-dimensional game. Wade got hurt last year, then Shaq, and even Pat Riley missed games because of hip surgery. Shaq has been working hard all summer and looks to be back in form, and Wade has been recovering well from shoulder and ankle surgery. Expect the Heat to compete in the East as long as they stay healthy. As long as they have Shaq and Wade, they can compete with the West's best teams.

DISCLAIMER : I'm a disgruntled MAvs fan and may be a bit biased.
Well other than retaining payton and haslem they need to bring in some youth. I think the team has great players that can mentor the youngsters in to good players. They also need to look at what will they do after shaq is gone and his skill deminishes......... Wade and his arm are another point of interest, he MUST get rest and condition his shoulder to its peak.
Lastly they need to make sure they get all the help from the ref and get all the non exsistant calls to screw other teams. A soft/pansy team like the 06 mavs in the finals would help too.

i hate to burst your (and every other celtics fan) but you do not have the discipline,mental toughness, or playoff experience or chemistry that the four time nba champion Spurs have ,not to mention the suns,mavericks,pistons maybe the utah jazz. The media has hyped up this team so much its ridiculous. they play in a laughable confrence(hence their "impressive"record) when was the last time the celtics or kevin garnett or paul pierce or ray allen won a playoff game?....im sorry was that silence i heard? they havnt done anything yet .

IDK, they always win by close score. When I watched Celtics vs Heat last night Celtics started 4th qaurter really good winning, and they had all their best players playing, and they only scored like 4 points 4th quarter. So I don't know. Because this starting lineup is new, I think they might bump into more experienced team and loose. But I think Kevin Garnett will be 2008 Regular Season MVP.

They have a very good team, but i doubt it. The reason being is Rondo. He's talented, and have a bright future, but I dont htink he's ready to lead them. No he isnt the leader, but when great teams meet each other in the playoffs, pg play determines who wins. Only MJ, and LB last year, took their team to the finals w/o a pg who was a great floor general. I think Detroit will beat them in 7 games.
With 40 minutes a night, I bet the big three going to be quite tired out after a few months, and their record in 08 will suffer compared with 07. Well there is no doubt that the Celtics are a good team. NBA Champs, a much of a Celtics fan as I am, I'm not sure if they can win it all just like that. There is very little, if any, playoff experience on that team. 08 NBA Champs will most likely not be the Celtics, but there is a possibility. I keep saying this...the only thing San Antonio has 'experienced' is Lebron scoring 35 ppg against them in his career (always against Bruce Bowen), 3 straight losses to the Cavs and San Antonio's 'unstoppable' guards turn the ball over 10 times per game against the Cavs in the last 2 seasons.

Im not just saying this coz im a big cavs fan but im always hearing the same thing, "LeBron cant carry the team by himself" and "Cleveland cant combat the San Antonios defence". every one should open there eyes! cavs have won the last 3 games in SA and there no longer a one man team! every game there is either a number 2 player that knocks up 20+ pts or there 3 that score 10+ pts besides from Bron. Boobie (gibson), Gooden, Marshal, Z and Sasha have scored 20+pts give or take in seperate games in the playoffs so far so when LeBron has a rare bad game theres sum1 who will share the load.

No, it will not. Last night's loss suffered by the Patriots at the hands of the Giants in the Super Bowl ruins the chances of Boston running the table in the three sports you mentioned.
Further, I wouldn't be so sure the Celtics will pull it off. Sure, it's much easier to win in the NBA when you add the right piece or two as Boston has done. But there was a lesson in last night's Patriots loss: don't count your chickens before they hatch. If the 18-0 Pats who were all but handed the Lombardi Trophy by pundits and 'experts' alike before the game even began can lose, so too can a relatively weaker Celtics team. And by that I mean that the Celtics aren't to the NBA what the Pats were to the NFL. They've been good. But not as dominant as the Pats.
I'm sorry to see a purported Boston sports fan neglect to even mention the Bruins. You may not know this, but they are one of the 'Original Six' teams in the NHL. They have a long history as storied and rich with characters as any other Boston sports franchise. Having been around since 1924 and showcasing talent such as Bobby Orr, they deserve a nod. Then again, they're not doing too well this year. And it's not terribly surprising. The Atlantic Division is tough. The Flyers are showing consistent brilliance in execution. They'll take the Division and help to force the Bruins out of the playoffs.
On a some what related note, I always pushed for the Boston sports teams to prevail. They were the perennial underdogs the rest of the country could get behind. But in how Boston fans have handled the Pats season, they're starting to resemble the worst of the worst: Yankees fans. And this question stinks of that same pin striped arrogance 92.9% of the sporting nation hates.

Who do I want to be the next NBA champs? Phoenix, I think deserves it more than anyone. But who do I think it will be realistically? Detroit or San Antonio. Phoenix unfortunately will get San Antonio in round 2. If they can beat them, which they didn't do in the regular season, then they'll go all the way. If they get eliminated in the 2nd round, then San Antonio will take the Western Conference finals and it will probably be Detroit and San Antonio in the FInals with Detroit probably winning again.

When the MLB (Major League Baseball) and NBA (National Basketball Association) started, the United States was the only place where athletes in these two sports competed professionally. Years later, other countries started having professional teams as well, but these two leagues have not changed their name nor the name of their final series due to Trademark laws, etc.
Side note, back then (and even still today), the best athletes in the world competed in the United States leagues because the pay is so good. The best baseball player right now (Pujols) is not for the USA. The tallest person in the NBA (Ming) isn't from the USA either. Because of this, when the Olympics come, these athletes a lot of times choose to play for their home nation, even though they are in the NBA or MLB. So, when we call ourselves "world champs" and its a "world series", its not arrogance or self centered, or even ignorance, its fact.
It's just talk...marketing...nothing political or arrogant. The USA basketball team is no longer a "Dream Team". Many of the best don't play. The first was the Dream Team because of the amazing collection of all-time greats. Now, the USA team wouldn't even be a good NBA team.

Look at the list of players on any team and you will see why. Same goes for the NBA look at the rosters and you see that in National Basketball Association has more forgin players on it. Very Strong....however lets remember something VERY important....the last team to win a championship that had the NBA's best record was the 2003 Spurs....teams invest so much into the regular season that some teams are spent by the playoffs...I am watching the minutes that the Celtics play and to Doc Rivers credit he's keeping his players minutes very reasonable.....that to say....we'll see if they have burned themselves out in the regular season come playoff time

Kiffa Dallas is not a weak team, especially at home. Celtics are going to be tough in the playoffs, the big 3 are very hungry and they play defense. I don't see anybody winning 4 out of 7 against them. The only team I see beating them are the Jazz, they did give them their worst beating of the year in Boston no less.
